Only the greatest TaylorMade woods carry the 'R' branding The new TaylorMade R15 Driver is finally here, TaylorMade's most technologically advanced driver ever produced has been 15 years in the making and certainly lives up to the hype, with a new upgraded front track system, improved loft sleeve and split sliding weights, this is a club definitely worthy of the famous 'R' branding. Available in both white and black head colours to appeal to the masses the R15 comes as standard with a 460cc head promoting high launch and low spin, aiming to hit that golfing holy grail of 17/17, referring to the optimum 17 degree launch angle with 1700rpm of spin. Like SLDR before it, R15 has a CG location both low and forward, due in large part to the 2 large, 20-gram sliding tungsten weights on the sole. That promotes a dramatic leap in distance. R15 takes it to the next level by moving the front track 12mm closer to the leading edge. This track now acts like a 'Speed Pocket', expanding the sweet spot and decreasing spin, while also bringing you the most advanced draw/fade bias system they have ever made. By placing the weights in specific positions along the track you can create maximum distance/stability/draw/fade. In addition to the low-forward CG benefits, the R15 weight also represents a complete reinvention of movable weight, making it more effective, precise and easier to use. Movable weight shifts the clubhead’s CG horizontally toward either the heel, to promote a draw, or toward the toe, to promote a fade. R15’s sliding weight allows you to shift the CG far enough to promote a side-to-side trajectory. The R15 also incorporates a new modified Loft-sleeve, which allows you to adjust the loft more than ever. You can choose from a range positions within a range of plus-or-minus 2 degrees of loft change, giving a full 4 degrees of loft adjustment.
