Speed is everything and the new Callaway XR Pro Driver has been engineered to deliver outrageous speeds for the better player. It's the real driving force behind this club, speed from a new aerodynamic crown, speed from the R.MOTO face, speed from maximum shaft load and the list goes on. It all goes into creating the fastest titanium driver Callaway have ever produced. Maximising speed requires reducing drag among many things other things. Callaway's XR Pro driver has been engineered to reduce drag to a minimum by keeping the airflow closer to the head throughout the swing. A new optimised aerodynamic head shape constructed from multi-material including a carbon composite crown combined with Callaway's revolutionary 'Speed Step Crown' has been developed to combat this drag co-efficiency, increasing speed with alower spinning design preferred by the better player. Everything about this driver is optimized for aero efficiency, which is critical to add speed with less drag. In addition to reducing drag for maximum speed, Callaway have introduced new 'R.MOTO Face Technology', by reducing the face weight by 10% in turn making the face thinner it results in a more energy efficient energy transfer across the entire face providing greater ball speeds from both on and off centre strikes. The 10% reduction in face weight allowed Callaway engineers to move this discretionary weight and position the CG 17% lower in the club where most golfers want it, delivering a higher MOI for increased forgiveness. The shaft is a key element in any club that's why the XR driver comes stock with the new Project X LZ shaft. The main feature of this shaft is that it produces maximum shaft load during the downswing loading zone, delivering greater energy transfer to the ball. As with the entire Callaway range OptiFit Adjustability is present in the XR, the ability to choose from 8 different loft and lie configurations allows any golfer to find their perfect launch characteristics to optimise ball flight for increased distance.
